Free Comic Book Day returns on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in downtown Rochester. The event draws thousands each year and gives downtown shops a nice boost each spring. And, Cinco’s returns as an exclusive comic book stop!
What began as a small promotion by Ralph DiBernardo of Jetpack Comics & Games has grown into a citywide celebration. The day now includes multiple comic stops, special deals at local businesses, a costume contest, Artist Alley at the Rochester Opera House, and The Turtle Den at the Governor’s Inn.
Participants with a power-up wrist band will receive a FREE personal-sized cheese dip, so be sure to stop in during the festivities to grab lunch and refuel while you’re out exploring and collecting every book available!
