DESCRIPTION:At Cinco’s\, our team is family—and when one of our own needs support\, we show up together. \nOn Wednesday\, May 13th\, we will be hosting an extra special Fiesta Fundraiser at our Rochester location in support of our beloved team member\, Sherry\, and her daughter\, Charlotte. \nSherry has been a part of the Cinco’s family since the opening of our Rochester location in 2024. Known for her warmth\, energy\, and genuine connection with guests\, she has built lasting relationships with coworkers and customers alike. As she prepares to step away from work to support her daughter through an incredibly challenging time\, we want to send her off surrounded by the same love and positive energy she has given to so many. \nHer daughter\, Charlotte\, is a 15-year-old honors student at Spaulding High School in Rochester\, NH. She was recently diagnosed with GATA2 deficiency\, a rare genetic disorder that severely impacts the immune system and has led to bone marrow failure. Without treatment\, the condition carries a high risk of progressing into Acute Myeloid Leukemia. \nAfter extensive testing and care across multiple hospitals\, Charlotte’s medical team has determined that a bone marrow transplant is urgently needed. Fortunately\, her older brother has been identified as a perfect match and will be her donor- a truly best-case scenario. \nFollowing the transplant\, Charlotte will spend several months hospitalized in Boston\, and then an extended recovery period at home. \nTo support Sherry\, Charlotte\, and their family during this time\, Cinco’s will donate 20% of all sales from the day’s event toward medical expenses and recovery costs and is committed to a minimum donation of $1\,000. \nWe invite our community—friends\, family\, guests\, and neighbors—to join us on May 13th to show their support. \nTogether\, we can make a meaningful difference for a family that has given so much to our own. \n  \nGoFundMe Share \nIf you’re looking for a way to support Sherry and Charlotte beyond joining us for our fundraising night on Wednesday\, May 13th\, we’re sharing their GoFundMe here. \nCharlotte is facing a life-saving bone marrow transplant after being diagnosed with a rare immune disorder\, and the road ahead will include months in the hospital followed by a long recovery at home. DESCRIPTION:Free Comic Book Day returns on Saturday\, May 2\, 2026\, in downtown Rochester. The event draws thousands each year and gives downtown shops a nice boost each spring. And\, Cinco’s returns as an exclusive comic book stop! \nWhat began as a small promotion by Ralph DiBernardo of Jetpack Comics & Games has grown into a citywide celebration. The day now includes multiple comic stops\, special deals at local businesses\, a costume contest\, Artist Alley at the Rochester Opera House\, and The Turtle Den at the Governor’s Inn. \n\nParticipants with a power-up wrist band will receive a FREE personal-sized cheese dip\, so be sure to stop in during the festivities to grab lunch and refuel while you’re out exploring and collecting every book available!
